Job Description
Verus Mortgage Capital is an independent national mortgage investor seeking a detail-oriented mortgage professional to support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and provide secondary production support. This role involves validating system enhancements, ensuring alignment with business requirements, and assisting with issue resolution to support smooth operational performance. Responsibilities Execute UAT test cases for mortgage-related system updates, enhancements, and defect fixes Validate functionality against business and regulatory requirements Document test results, defects, and discrepancies with clear, actionable detail Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and QA teams to resolve issues Provide secondary support for production-related inquiries and system issues Assist in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and escalation when needed Support release validation and post-deployment verification activities Maintain testing documentation, including test plans, scripts, and results Skills Experience in mortgage operations (e.g., origination, processing, underwriting, or servicing) Strong understanding of mortgage workflows, documentation, and regulatory requirements Experience with UAT, QA testing, or system implementations Proficiency with testing tools, issue tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities Maintaining a reliable, uninterrupted high speed internet connection is a requirement of hybrid or remote positions Familiarity with LOS platforms (e.g., Vesta, LauraMac, or similar) Experience working in Agile or project-based environments Knowledge of mortgage regulatory requirements Experience with Docs/Docutech packages Ability to work a hybrid schedule in Bloomington, MN Benefits Competitive compensation package, including base salary and performance-based bonus opportunities 401(k) plan with 100% company match up to 4% Comprehensive health coverage: medical, dental, vision, HSA, and FSA options Generous paid time off: 20 days PTO, company holidays, and sick time Paid parental leave Company-paid life insurance and disability coverage Employee Assistance Program (EAP): mental health, financial, and wellness support Professional development: tuition reimbursement and growth opportunities Commuter and transit benefits Company Overview Verus is a mortgage investor filling the credit void in today’s mortgage market, acquires responsible non-agency mortgage loans.
