The Test Stand Engineer will define, install, and operate test rigs on gas turbine engine hardware and subsystems, ensuring safe operation and data collection. Responsibilities Support the design and definition of new test rigs. Test rigs will vary in complexity and application across multiple test stands, and laboratories, and engine programs Responsible for setup and installation of test rigs Responsible for creating data collection profiles Responsible for safe operation of test rigs and data collection Responsible for raw data interrogation and troubleshooting Responsible for repair and maintenance of test stand and laboratory spaces, including preservation Skills Associate's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with 3 + years experience OR Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with 1+ year of experience OR Master's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology OR JD/PhD Must be a US citizen to be considered for this role Strong analytical skills with demonstrated mechanical and electronics troubleshooting experience Fundamental understanding of data acquisition and instrumentation functionality Demonstrate written and oral communication to a variety of audiences Strong documentation skills and procedural improvement & compliance Efficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word Experience with National Instruments LabView Experience with hydraulic control equipment Experience with fundamental mechanical or material testing Experience with design of experiments and control of variables Experience with gas turbine engines, and gas turbine engine hardware Airframe (A) and Powerplant (P) license would be preferred Flexibility to adjust job assignments depending on priority and program demands Benefits Health, dental, vision, disability, life and accidental death & dismemberment insurance Flexible spending account Health savings account 401(k) retirement savings plan with a company match Employee Assistance Program Paid Time Off Certain paid holidays Paid parental and family care leave Tuition reimbursement Long-term incentive plan Company Overview Rolls-Royce provides aerospace engines, power systems, defense propulsion, marine solutions, and comprehensive MRO services.
