About the Position Glatfelter Insurance Group is seeking a Territory Distribution Leader for our VFIS (Volunteer Firemen's Insurance Services) department who will be responsible for driving the strategic growth and operational excellence of VFIS products within a designated territory across the United States. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with distribution partners, ensuring alignment with company goals and customer needs. The leader will analyze market trends and customer feedback to develop targeted distribution strategies that maximize market penetration and revenue growth. They will collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and product teams to optimize distribution channels and enhance customer satisfaction. Ultimately, this position plays a critical role in expanding VFIS’s market presence and delivering value to both partners and end customers. This is a remote position that requires the TDL to live in the Western Pennsylvania territory. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute territory-specific distribution strategies to achieve sales and growth targets for VFIS products. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with distribution partners, including agencies, brokers, and other intermediaries. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and challenges within the territory. Collaborate with internal teams such as sales, marketing, underwriting, and product development to ensure alignment and support for distribution initiatives. Provide training, guidance, and support to distribution partners to enhance their product knowledge and sales effectiveness. Track and report on key performance metrics related to distribution activities and territory growth. Manage territory budgets and resources efficiently to maximize return on investment. Represent VFIS at industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote brand awareness and build professional networks. What We’re Looking For: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Insurance, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in distribution management, sales leadership, or a related role within the insurance or financial services industry. Proven track record of successfully managing and growing distribution channels or territories. Strong understanding of insurance products, particularly those relevant to VFIS’s offerings. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working specifically with VFIS products or within the fire, EMS, and public safety insurance markets. Advanced degree or professional certifications related to insurance or sales management. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects. Familiarity with CRM software and data analytics tools to drive decision-making. Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory. Skills: The Territory Distribution Leader will utilize strong communication and interpersonal skills daily to build and nurture relationships with distribution partners, ensuring clear and effective collaboration. Analytical skills are essential for interpreting market data and customer insights to inform strategic decisions and optimize distribution efforts. Leadership and project management skills enable the candidate to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Negotiation skills are frequently applied to secure favorable agreements and partnerships that benefit both VFIS and its distribution network.
