Vision Bioenergy Oilseeds (VBO) is a forward-thinking agricultural joint venture dedicated to developing, growing, and marketing high-quality oilseed oils for biofuel production, contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable future. With a state-of-the-art research & development center and processing facility in Nampa, Idaho, we are committed to innovation and environmental responsibility. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join our team, working remotely in the North Denver, Colorado area or in a hybrid capacity in Nampa, Idaho. This position is not eligible for relocation. Key Responsibilities: • Comprehensively support all aspects of the general ledger, including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations for the monthly, quarterly, or annual closing. • Support most aspects of accounting management (billing, tax forms, reporting etc.). • Own all Accounts Receivable activities by posting payments, invoices, reconciling customer accounts, and preparing related KPIs and analysis. • Actively partner with the business units, including tasks such as training on accounting policies and procedures. • Establish and maintain internal controls. • Research accounting issues to ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). • Assist in preparation of budgets and forecasts, where necessary. • Analyze and report cost variances. • Utilize accounting system to facilitate processes and maintain records. • Maintain confidentiality of financial information. Skills and Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. • 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance. • Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations. • Exceptional knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting, etc.). • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred. • Proficient in MS Office, advanced Excel knowledge, accounting software (Netsuite a plus). • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. • Highly self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines. • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to collaborate effectively. • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills. • Adaptable, flexible, and able to perform in time-sensitive environments. • Ability to troubleshoot issues and improve processes for efficiency. • Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships at all levels.
