They are seeking a Technical Curriculum Developer to design, develop, and maintain training solutions for skilled trades in Advanced Manufacturing, focusing on creating high-quality learning modules and technical documentation. Responsibilities β’ Build interactive digital learning modules using Articulate 360 (Storyline/Rise) and Google Workspace that are fully integrated into the Canvas LMS β’ Develop comprehensive instructor manuals, detailed lesson plans, facilitation guides, and learner workbooks that provide clear, step-by-step instructions for complex technical tasks using Google Workspace Apps β’ Create technical diagrams, multimedia learning aids (videos, animations), and interactive demonstrations for complex systems to help learners visualize 'unseen' processes like electricity and fluid flow β’ Design practical laboratory exercises, diagnostic tests, and performance-based assessments for electrical and mechanical systems, complete with rigorous safety documentation β’ Assist in translating technical competencies into modular, progressive skill-building sequences, moving from foundational theory to advanced industrial troubleshooting β’ Proactively synthesize feedback from learners, instructors, and field SMEs to identify pain points and drive rapid curriculum iteration β’ Manage the update cycle for existing modules: adding, updating, or removing content based on changing industry standards and market signals β’ Maintain meticulous version control and technical documentation for all training materials to ensure site-to-site consistency across national programs β’ Develop robust instructor onboarding materials and resource libraries, including technical reference sheets and troubleshooting guides for trainers β’ Assist with the creation of program descriptions and technical marketing materials for recruitment and external partnership engagement Skills β’ 1-3 years of technical instructional design experience β’ 1-3 years of working in or with electrical or electromechanical roles in industrial environments β’ Strong technical background; able to grasp and convey highly technical subject matter β’ Ability to respond clearly to live digital conversations via a digital engagement platform such as Zoom or an in-person training environment β’ Strong communication skills β’ A demonstrable understanding of Electrical systems, Instrumentation, and PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) logic and troubleshooting β’ Hands-on experience or deep technical familiarity with Climate & Thermal Management: Industrial HVAC, Chillers, and Cooling Towers β’ Hands-on experience or deep technical familiarity with Fluid & Hydronic Systems: Pumping systems (VFD-controlled), heat exchangers, hydronic piping loops, and water treatment/filtration systems β’ Hands-on experience or deep technical familiarity with Material Handling: Industrial conveyor systems, sorters, and motor-driven rollers β’ Hands-on experience or deep technical familiarity with Facility Infrastructure: Diesel generators, automatic transfer switches (ATS), and basic pneumatic/hydraulic controls β’ 1-3 years of experience working in or consulting for Advanced Manufacturing environments with skilled tradespersons β’ 1β3 years of experience in instructional design or technical training content creation β’ Associate-level use of Articulate 360 and Canvas LMS β’ High proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) β’ Exceptional written communication skills with a proven ability to simplify expert-level technical jargon into teachable, structured content β’ A solid understanding of industrial safety standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, NFPA 70E) β’ Professional certifications in maintenance-related disciplines (e.g., Electrical, HVAC, or Industrial Safety) β’ Experience with virtual labs, AR/VR simulations, or SCORM/xAPI content development β’ Familiarity with competency-based education (CBE) and national credentialing frameworks Company Overview β’ Per Scholas is proud to celebrate 30 years of fostering economic mobility by giving individuals from diverse backgrounds access to high-growth tech careers.
