Responsibilities β’ Answer incoming phone calls from patients seeking to schedule appointments β’ Schedule patients in the EHR system according to provider availability β’ Collect and verify patient insurance information for the 5 accepted insurance plans β’ Assist patients with uploading insurance cards and documents to the patient portal β’ Provide basic information about services, insurance coverage, and self-pay options β’ Handle autism screening appointment requests (cash-only, scheduled months in advance) β’ Direct emergency calls involving suicidal ideation immediately to emergency room care β’ Leave messages for the provider when clinical questions arise that require follow-up β’ Provide excellent customer service with a polite, friendly, and welcoming approach Skills β’ Strong customer service experience with excellent phone communication skills β’ Ability to be polite, friendly, welcoming, and warm in all patient interactions β’ Comfortable learning basic insurance verification processes β’ Ability to follow specific protocols for handling emergency situations β’ Basic computer skills for navigating EHR systems and patient portals β’ Reliable internet connection and quiet work environment for phone calls β’ Medical or healthcare background preferred but not required Company Overview β’ BruntWork builds cost-effective, efficient and scalable operational teams for businesses wanting to grow fast and effectively.
