Project Manager/Senior Project Manager – Mining Hydrogeology/Geochemistry Location: Flexible (Hybrid or 100% Remote, Approved States) Compensation: $95,000 - $145,000 annually (negotiable based on experience) Spheros Environmental is seeking a talented, team-oriented, and organized Project Manager - Mining or Senior Project Manager – Mining to join our growing Mining Services Team. This role is ideal for a seasoned hydrogeologist, mine water management specialist, or mining geochemist with 3-5 years of mining related project management experience (for the PM role) and 10–15 years of mining-related project management experience (for the Sr. PM role), particularly in hard-rock, surface, and underground mine settings. The successful candidate will bring technical expertise in hydrogeology, hydrology, mine water management, and/or mining geochemistry and team/project leadership to projects throughout the western U.S. and internationally, supporting clients through all mining phases—from pre-feasibility and permitting to operations and closure. Key Responsibilities: Manage multiple mining hydrogeology and/or geochemistry projects and prioritize effectively. Provide high-level technical support in areas such as conceptual model design, aquifer test analysis, and groundwater flow modeling. Mentor staff and lead technical development across mining hydrogeology and/or geochemistry focus areas. Develop work plans, budgets, and schedules tailored to complex mining projects. Write and review clear, technical reports for diverse audiences. Lead business development efforts within mining hydrogeology, water management, geochemistry, and mine waste practices. Engage mining clients across all project phases and represent LRE Water at industry conferences. Qualifications: Experience: 3-5 years (for the PM role) or 10–15 years of experience (for the Sr. PM role) in mining-related hydrogeology, hydrology, and/or geochemistry. Licensure/Certification: Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG), Professional Hydrologist (PH), or similar certifications preferred. Education: Bachelor's degree in geological engineering, environmental engineering, geology, hydrology, environmental sciences, or a related field (Master’s preferred). Technical Skills: Broad expertise in hydrogeology, aquifer testing, groundwater modeling, and mining water management. Software: Proficiency in scientific software, GIS, Microsoft Suite, Google Earth, and other industry-specific tools. Experience at hard-rock, surface, and underground mine sites strongly preferred Why Spheros Environmental?
