Job Summary: GE Aerospace is a reinsurance company supporting long-term care insurance and other insurance products. They are seeking an Operations Data Analyst to lead efforts in developing analytical capabilities, sourcing data, and providing actionable insights to decision-makers. Responsibilities: β€’ Collecting, combining, cleansing, and managing data from various sources β€’ Identifying trends and patterns in complex datasets, including exploratory data analysis (EDA) β€’ Building and creating efficiencies using statistical, database and/or general program languages and tools to meet specific business needs β€’ Producing dashboards, including graphs, tables, and other visualizations β€’ Developing in-depth knowledge of insurance operations and programs to better understand the business needs and drivers and to help make recommendations β€’ Carrying out statistical research, prototyping new systems, and finding new ways of gathering, cleaning, and analyzing data β€’ Consulting with internal teams to determine their business needs, and to find solutions for them β€’ Actively working to identify improvements to internal & external processes, including automation β€’ Summarizing and presenting data analysis results for management, including creating presentation decks using PowerPoint (or similar) Qualifications: Required: β€’ Bachelor's degree in computer science, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance, Insurance, or equivalent combination of education and experience in related fields β€’ Proficiency in tools and languages such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Excel, and Python or R β€’ Experience with relational databases and data analysis techniques β€’ Minimum of 3 years' experience in data analyst role β€’ Ability to be self-driven and work on multiple projects with strong organizational skills β€’ Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work cross functionally β€’ Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems Preferred: β€’ Insurance industry or financial services experience β€’ A deep interest in problem-solving, and exceptional attention to detail β€’ Familiarity with ICD-10 codes β€’ Experience with Azure MLOps β€’ Hypothesis testing Company: GE Aerospace is a provider of jet and turboprop engines, as well as integrated systems.
