SUMMARY: This role will support the Vice President, Lending Administration through the management of the Specialty Lending underwriting, portfolio management and daily operational activities. The Specialty Lending Manager will also assist in maintaining applicable policy, documentation, procedures and reporting for all third-party lending relationships managed by the Specialty Lending Group. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee the Specialty Lending Underwriters and daily production and performance. Oversee daily underwriting, approval and funding process, loss mitigation efforts and QC for loans sourced through third party vendor relationships managed by the group to ensure they follow specified underwriting guidelines, policy/regulatory requirements and other contract provisions. Assist with analysis/underwriting for purchased loans/sourced loan pools and preparation of credit memos to support and document approval. Assist with loan pool sales and purchases, and the operational onboarding of new third-party specialty lending relationships. Manage delinquencies and charge offs of each portfolio. Maintain required documentation on all third parties, assist with required Vendor Management Assessments, annual servicer reviews and monthly financial/performance reporting on loan portfolios. Learn/utilize various software systems in daily work activities (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Nautilus, Outlook, nCino Analytics and various vendor loan operating systems). Ensure compliance with all Federal and State regulatory requirements and internal organization policies. Create, update and/or maintain all Specialty Lending policies and procedures . Maintain a thorough knowledge of Georgia’s Own policies and procedures and trends in the credit union industry. Perform other duties as assigned. EDUCATIONAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Statistics, or related field or equivalent professional work experience. Minimum of 10 years of banking or financial industry experience in the management of processes and teams specializing in consumer lending, underwriting and portfolio management. ADDITIONAL/IMPORTANT SKILLSETS: Knowledge of financial institution finance and/or operational areas. Self-motivated and able to work independently with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Detail oriented and consistent keeper of required documentation. Ability to work well with others on the team and with other business units. Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing. Proficient in MS Office and able to quickly learn various operational and loan related systems. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, the employee must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. All employees must be able to communicate face to face or through technology with or without reasonable accommodation. Employee will be in an office environment (well-lighted, heated, and air-conditioned) typically stationed at a desk or table. Employee will be asked to sit and stand for various increments of time, and to lift/push up 10 lbs. Clerical office duties on various forms of technology are required.
