Lead Revenue, Drive Impact: Billing Manager & Credentialing Administrator Full-Time | Exempt | Remote Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (PST) Reports to: Director of Finance Compensation: $75,000 – $90,000 (depending on experience) About the Role We’re seeking a dynamic and results-driven Billing Manager & Credentialing Administrator to lead our revenue cycle operations and elevate financial performance. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for optimizing billing workflows, strengthening payer relationships, and ensuring compliance across all aspects of the revenue cycle. What You’ll Do Revenue Cycle Leadership Lead and manage Billing and Patient Accounts teams across billing, collections, denial management, and reimbursement Ensure timely, accurate claim submission and revenue capture Identify and resolve operational issues (EDI errors, payer changes, system challenges) Maintain compliance with billing policies and payer requirements Accounts Receivable Performance Oversee all AR activity to ensure strong cash flow and timely collections Drive performance against key benchmarks, including reducing aging balances Analyze monthly AR aging reports and implement improvements Claims Management & Optimization Ensure claims meet payer requirements (ICD-10, HCPCS, CPT) prior to submission Resolve documentation gaps, authorization issues, and discrepancies Oversee third-party billing vendors and escalated claims Ensure worklists and billing timelines are consistently met Patient Accounts & Experience Ensure patient collection goals are achieved Oversee third-party billing customer service (e.g., Brightree Live Agent Services) Partner with Patient Relations to resolve billing inquiries and enhance patient experience Systems & Workflow Management Monitor and resolve system alerts, queues, and billing holds Address pricing issues, manual holds, and system flags Ensure monthly billing pre-close is completed on time Ensure cross-functional teams meet required timelines Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Qualifications and Patient Relations teams to ensure clean, billable orders Serve as a subject matter expert on billing, insurance, and reimbursement Train and mentor staff to improve performance and efficiency Credentialing & Contracting Manage payer credentialing and contract administration Maintain payer relationships and contract databases Evaluate fee schedules to optimize reimbursement Track NPIs, insurance portals, and contracted services Monitor payer policy changes and coding updates (HCPCS/CPT) Support contract negotiations and payer updates Leadership & Team Development Provide coaching, direction, and performance management Set team goals, track KPIs, and report outcomes Lead onboarding, evaluations, and development initiatives Foster a high-performance, accountable team culture What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience) 5–8+ years of medical billing or revenue cycle experience 2–4+ years of leadership experience Strong knowledge of billing operations, AR management, and insurance reimbursement Experience with credentialing and payer contract management strongly preferred Experience with Brightree or similar DME/healthcare billing platforms strongly preferred Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and leadership abilities SleepQuest is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
