Job Description

About the Company We are a California-based company operating in the environmental health and safety (EHS) industry. With over 35 years in business, we are a stable, established organization that values consistency, clear processes, and the people who keep things running well behind the scenes. Schedule Note This role follows California business hours (PST/PDT), which means your shift will be approximately 1:00 AM – 10:00 AM Philippine time (shifting to 2:00 AM – 11:00 AM during daylight saving). Weekends are always off. The schedule is fixed and predictable — no rotating shifts, no surprise overtime. We're upfront about this because it's a real consideration. If you've worked a graveyard shift before and found it suits your lifestyle, this role offers the stability and long-term security that makes it worthwhile. About the Role We're looking for a careful, methodical tech generalist to own our digital operations day-to-day. This is a stable, long-term role with a clear scope — not a chaotic environment where priorities change hourly. You'll manage the platforms our team relies on, build automations that actually last, document everything you learn, and troubleshoot issues with patience and precision. Most work is independent; you'll have a senior tech lead to collaborate with on bigger initiatives but won't need constant supervision. What You'll Own • Systems & Platforms — Become the resident expert on our core tools: Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Power Automate), WordPress, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, FileMaker, and Dialpad. Handle configurations, updates, and improvements with attention to detail. • Automation — Identify repetitive processes and build reliable, well-documented automations that the team will actually use long-term. • Documentation — Write SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and process docs. Record training videos. Build the knowledge base that keeps operations consistent. • Tech Support & Troubleshooting — Diagnose real problems at the root level — not just surface symptoms — and guide teammates to lasting solutions via chat, call, or screen share. • Infrastructure & Systems Management — Maintain and monitor the underlying systems, networks, and environments that keep operations running reliably. • Security & Access — Manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords. Keep systems organized before issues arise. What We're Looking For • You learn tools deeply — real expertise, not surface familiarity • Documentation comes naturally to you; it's how you ensure quality • You work well independently with a defined scope and clear direction • You're methodical: you'd rather fully understand a problem than rush a fix • You troubleshoot systematically — you trace problems to their root cause, not just the surface symptom • You have hands-on experience with tech infrastructure — networks, systems, user environments, or cloud-based setups • Stable, predictable work — even at odd hours — suits you better than daytime chaos Why This Role Stands Out • Fixed schedule — same hours every day, no rotating shifts • Weekends always off — no exceptions • Long-term stability — permanent role, not project-based • 160 hours/month — full-time, consistent workload • Deep ownership — you'll go deep on our systems, not bounce between tasks • Calm environment — established team, defined processes, no daily fire drills Benefits • Paid leaves — we provide paid time off so you can rest and recharge without worrying about lost income • Paid California public holidays — you will be paid on all California public holidays • Stable, long-term engagement — this is not a project-based or contractual role; we're looking for someone to grow with us Minimum Requirements • Bachelor's degree in any field (4-year course), preferably IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline • At least 2 years of experience in tech support, IT administration, or infrastructure management • Proven troubleshooting experience — hardware, software, network, or systems level • Solid Microsoft 365 experience (Teams, SharePoint, Power Automate) • Ability to work California business hours (graveyard shift, PH time) Bonus Points • Experience with HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, WordPress, FileMaker, or Dialpad • Background in network administration, cloud infrastructure, or endpoint management • Experience with process documentation or SOP writing • Prior experience in a remote, US-based work setup How to Apply Submit a cover letter (300–500 words) addressing the following: 1. Describe a tech infrastructure or systems problem you troubleshot — what was the issue, how did you diagnose it, and what was the outcome 2. Walk us through a platform or system you managed and maintained — what tools were involved and how did you ensure it ran reliably 3. Share an example where your documentation or SOPs made a real difference to a team or process 4. Describe how you have handled security and access management — how do you manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords, and what does your workflow look like when onboarding or offboarding a user 5. Walk us through how you approach tech infrastructure — how do you monitor, maintain, and flag issues before they become problems 6. Why this role appeals to you, and confirm whether you are comfortable working California business hours (graveyard shift, PH time) Attach your resume along with your cover letter. We review both, but we're more interested in how you think and work than in job titles.
