Sovereign is an EV and Hybrid Battery Company looking to fill a Battery Test Technician to join their team in Kansas City, KS. The role involves operating test equipment, executing test programs, and accurately recording results while working hands-on with battery systems in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Start and monitor battery test programs using designated test equipment Accurately enter and track test data in internal systems or spreadsheets Verify test results and report any irregularities or failures Handle and move batteries safely (ranging from 20 lbs to 100 lbs) Use basic hand tools for assembly, disassembly, or setup of battery components Follow all safety procedures when working with electrical systems and batteries Maintain cleanliness and organization of the testing area Communicate progress, issues, and results clearly with team members and supervisors Skills Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools General computer knowledge (data entry, spreadsheets, basic software navigation) Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical ability to lift and move batteries weighing between 20 lbs and 100 lbs Experience working with batteries, electrical systems, or test equipment Previous experience in a manufacturing, automotive, or technical environment Benefits 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Company Overview Sovereign Group are manufactures and installers of UPVC windows and doors, aluminium windows, doors and composite doors.
