Design Works Landscaping is a 20-year established landscaping company seeking a Human Resources & Accounting Assistant to support their operations. This role is essential for managing HR processes, assisting with payroll and financial records, and ensuring compliance with labor laws. Responsibilities Manage hiring pipeline including job postings, screening, interviews, and onboarding Lead onboarding process including documentation, orientation, system setup Maintain organized and accurate employee records Track employee performance and assist with quarterly reviews Approve and manage PTO requests Help resolve employee concerns and support managers when needed Assist in improving communication, expectations, and overall team structure Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and support Help strengthen company culture and communication between field and management Assist with payroll including time tracking, verification, and submission Support billing, invoicing, and tracking incoming payments Track and categorize credit card transactions and receipts Maintain organized financial records Assist with accounts receivables Assist with H2B program tracking and documentation Maintain employee documentation including I-9s, W-4s, and certifications Support workers compensation processes Help ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies Skills Experience in human resources required Strong organizational and systems thinking skills Comfortable in a blue collar environment Strong communication and problem solving skills High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Reliable commute to Hudson, NH Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred Bilingual is a huge plus Benefits Hybrid flexibility after 90 days Health, dental, and life insurance 401K Paid time off Paid holidays Company Overview At Design Works Landscaping, we partner with commercial property managers to keep sites safe, polished, and worry-free year-round.
