About the position We're adding a Financial Advisor (internal title: Client Account Manager) to our team to serve as the primary relationship manager for Stevens Foster’s clients, guiding households through financial decision-making with clarity, professionalism, and care. The Advisor serves as a front-line advocate for clients’ financial well-being, ensuring that services delivered remain aligned with client needs, priorities, and long-term objectives. Advisors build trusted relationships, develop a comprehensive understanding of each client’s goals, and coordinate seamlessly across Planning, Tax, and Investments to deliver integrated, holistic financial strategies. This role embodies Stevens Foster’s relationship-centered advisory philosophy. Advisors translate complex financial information into clear recommendations, lead client discussions, ensure follow-through on all action items, and support a high-touch service experience. They serve as the central connection point across internal teams, ensuring clients receive the full value of the firm’s coordinated approach. Responsibilities • Client Relationship Management • Build and maintain long-term client relationships through proactive communication, empathy, and trust. • Develop a deep understanding of client goals, financial priorities, and personal circumstances. • Serve as the central point of contact for client questions, planning needs, and follow-up items. • Maintain an ongoing understanding of clients’ evolving goals, priorities, and communication preferences over time. • Integrated Financial Strategy • Collaborate with Planning, Tax, and Investments to design comprehensive, personalized strategies for each client. • Communicate client goals clearly to internal teams to support accurate and timely deliverables. • Translate client context, priorities, and timing considerations into clear guidance for Planning, Investment, and Tax teams to ensure strategies and deliverables meet the client’s current needs. • Serve as the integration point across disciplines, ensuring a unified advisory approach. • Client Meetings & Communication • Lead client meetings, present strategies, and explain planning options and recommendations in a clear, approachable manner. • Prepare clients for upcoming decisions and guide them through implementation steps. • Ensure detailed documentation of meetings, actions, and decisions in Junxure. • Maintain ongoing awareness of clients’ comfort with risk, decision-making preferences, and engagement style, adjusting communication and guidance as circumstances evolve. • Operational & Seasonal Responsibilities • Manage cyclical workload with flexibility during peak periods including tax season, year-end planning, and annual reviews. • Coordinate follow-through on tasks with CSAs, Planners, and Operations to ensure timely completion. • Uphold confidentiality and protect sensitive client information at all times. • Professionalism & Representation • Act as a consistent, trusted representative of Stevens Foster’s relationship-centered advisory philosophy in all client and team interactions. • Represent Stevens Foster with professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to high-quality service. • Foster strong relationships with internal teams to support a collaborative advisory environment. Requirements • 3–5 years of experience in individual financial planning or a similar client-facing advisory role. • Strong working knowledge of investments, executive benefits, retirement planning, and wealth management concepts. • Familiarity with estate planning terminology and complex trust structures. • Working knowledge of individual income tax planning. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning CRM and financial systems. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex strategies. • Strong time management, organizational discipline, and follow-through. • High emotional intelligence and relationship-building ability. • Demonstrated integrity, sound judgment, and commitment to confidentiality. • Commitment to ongoing professional development and certification. Nice-to-haves • Professional certifications (CFP®, CPA, Series 65) strongly preferred.
