As a key member of our billing operations team, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and clients, resolving billing inquiries, and ensuring seamless communication with our internal teams. If you have a strong background in healthcare billing, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, we encourage you to apply. **Responsibilities** * Provide exceptional customer service to patients and clients, responding to billing inquiries and resolving complex issues in a clear and concise manner * Research and communicate complex information related to health insurance coverage, cost, and payment options * Navigate and work on multiple systems and websites simultaneously to resolve billing inquiries and update patient records * Collaborate with internal teams to resolve reimbursement opportunities and ensure seamless communication * Receive and process credit card payments over the phone, adhering to PCI compliance protocols * Initiate payment plans for patients with outstanding balances * Document telephone conversations clearly and accurately in our billing system * Update and maintain records in our billing system, including reviewing accounts, payment collections, and case notes * Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines and regulations * Assist with other duties as assigned by the Specialty Testing Customer Service Support Supervisor **Qualifications** * Associate's degree with at least 1+ year of prior relevant work experience in healthcare billing or customer service * High School diploma or GED equivalent with at least 3+ years of relevant work experience in healthcare billing or customer service * Prior healthcare experience, particularly in medical billing and collection practices, is strongly preferred * Ability to interpret and apply understanding of insurance explanation of benefits (EOB) is strongly preferred * Previous customer service experience handling high call volume is strongly preferred * Medicare/Medicaid billing experience is preferred * Knowledge of CPT and ICD10 codes is strongly preferred * Experience with Laboratory Billing and Laboratory Information System (LIS) is preferred * Working knowledge of prior authorization is preferred * Understanding of Women's Health & Genetics Moms Helping Moms of Tomorrow processes is preferred * XIFIN experience is preferred * Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred **Other Desired Skills** * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Ability to follow established program protocols and procedures * Ability to review large amounts of data for accuracy * Must be organized and detail-oriented * Computer proficiency in MS Windows, MS Office, and database experience **Physical Requirements** * Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer **Remote Technical Requirements** * Internet speed of at least 50 megabytes per second * Ability to connect equipment to router/modem with Ethernet cord * Equipment cannot be connected through Wi-Fi or satellite internet **Benefits** * Competitive hourly rate of $15.50-$20.00 per hour * Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), paid time off (PTO) or flexible time off (FTO), tuition reimbursement, and employee stock purchase plan * Casual, PRN, and part-time employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours per week are eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan only **Application Window** The application window for this position closes on August 19, 2025.
