As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in helping us achieve this vision by providing top-notch customer service to our patients and stakeholders. **Job Summary** As an Experienced Single Billing Office Customer Service Representative, you'll perform a wide range of tasks related to hospital and physician accounts, including handling inbound and outbound calls, resolving billing concerns, and analyzing data to determine reasons for denials, non-payment, and overpayment. You'll also be responsible for data analysis and interpretation throughout all functions of the revenue cycle, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and providing exceptional customer service to our patients. **Key Responsibilities** • Resolve billing concerns, address inquiries related to insurance matters, and assist patients with MyChart while establishing a rapport with our diverse patient population. • Review accounts to determine insurance coverage, obtain and correct missing or inaccurate information, and discuss patient responsibility, including educating patients on claim processing, deductible, coinsurance, and co-pays. • Interact with patients to make them aware of payment options, such as payment plans and financial assistance, and guide them through the application process if necessary. • Set up payment plans in MyChart based on patient needs and maintain a high level of poise and professionalism in dealing with patients. • Greet patients in a professional and courteous manner, communicate clearly and professionally in both oral and written communication, and be clear and concise in all communication to ensure patients understand the information being communicated. • Research customer requests or issues, determine if further action is needed, forward to the appropriate party for resolution, and exercise good judgment to determine the urgency of patient needs. • Contact payers and make hard inquiries on account status if needed, escalate problem accounts to the appropriate area(s), and document billing activity on patient accounts according to departmental guidelines. • Ensure all work is compliant with privacy, HIPAA, and regulatory requirements, participate in general or special assignments, and attend all required training. • Answer all incoming calls from arenaflex patients and perform other duties as assigned. **Supervisory/Management Responsibilities** This is a non-management role that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive. **Minimum Requirements** • Education: High School diploma or equivalent OR post-high school diploma/highest degree earned • Experience: Two (2) years billing, bookkeeping, and/or accounting experience **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities** • Knowledgeable of the job functions required for a A/R Follow-up Representative, Cash Posting Representative, Claims Clearinghouse Representative, Correspondence Representative, Credit Processing Specialist, Denial/Appeals Specialist, Payment Research Specialist, and Quality Assurance Specialist. • Knowledgeable of the entire Revenue Cycle and Epic. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, payers, and internal stakeholders. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex billing concerns and insurance matters. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. • Proficiency in MyChart and other relevant software systems. **Work Environment and Company Culture** As a remote employee, you'll have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home while still being an integral part of our dynamic team. arenaflex is committed to creating a work environment that is inclusive, supportive, and empowering.
