GSI Environmental has an immediate opening for an Entry- to Mid-Level Engineer in their Emeryville, CA office to support water resources, environmental, and geotechnical practices. The role involves performing technical analyses, data collection, and participating in project management and business development activities. Responsibilities Support projects in the fields of hydrogeology, water resources, surface hydraulics and hydrology, and geotechnical engineering Perform technical analyses with guidance by a supervisor Data collection, compilation, visualization, and analysis Computer modeling Field activities Oral or written presentation to supervisor, project team, and clients Participate in proposal development, project management and business development activities Skills Advanced degree with background in groundwater/hydrogeology, environmental engineering, surface water hydraulics, coastal engineering, hydrology and/or geotechnical fields Excellent data analysis skills, such as knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning methods Excellent computer modeling skills. Knowledge of models such as TOUGH, MODFLOW, MIKE21 is preferred Proficiency in programming in at least one coding language, such as MATLAB, R, and/or Python Knowledge of statistical and probabilistic analysis Excellent verbal and written communication skills Critical thinking, time management, and problem-solving skills Collaborative mindset Valid drivers license and ability to pass a standard background check and pre-employment drug screen Knowledge of models such as TOUGH, MODFLOW, MIKE21 is preferred Benefits Competitive salary and benefits with attractive year-end bonuses.
