Job Description

The Canadian Football League is Canada's premier professional football organization, dedicated to enhancing fan engagement through innovative digital strategies. The Digital Marketing and Product Coordinator is responsible for executing content workflows, managing live digital experiences, and optimizing the league’s website and mobile app to ensure fans receive engaging and personalized content. Responsibilities Execute the league’s vertical video strategy across the website and mobile app Support game night digital experiences by curating key moments and highlights in real time, complementing automated workflows to populate app and website with relevant content Execute and maintain weekly automated content strategies to support game week storytelling across league and club content, as well as non-game events (e.g., Free Agency, Combine, Draft, major announcements) Support push notification strategies that distribute content, breaking news, and live game engagement Support copywriting for digital platforms, including push notifications and email messaging, with a focus on testing and optimizing messaging performance Build and maintain page layouts across the website and app, including landing pages, contest pages, and promotional experiences Implement navigation updates such as copy changes, placement adjustments, and structural updates to optimize user experience Manage non-editorial page updates, including schedule pages, tune-in information, and other key fan information hubs Coordinate the implementation and maintenance of platform widgets Manage product-related customer support inquiries, supporting fans with account access and technical troubleshooting to ensure a seamless and positive user experience Support testing and optimization of page layouts and content placements to improve engagement and usability Work closely with the content and digital marketing teams to maintain consistent and accurate tagging structures across editorial, video, and social content Coordinate with product, data and content teams to ensure digital experiences are implemented accurately and updated efficiently Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure content, layouts, and automated feeds are functioning correctly across the website and mobile app Skills Understanding of digital publishing, CMS platforms, and content distribution strategies Familiarity with digital content ecosystems including editorial, video, and social media integration Basic understanding of mobile app engagement tools such as push notifications and in-app messaging Knowledge of sports media and live event content workflows is an asset Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing digital content and platform updates Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, real-time environment Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams Comfort working within CMS platforms and digital publishing tools Ability to work in a live sports environment with occasional evening and weekend responsibilities during games and key league events Ability to execute quickly and accurately in real-time situations Ability to adapt to evolving digital platforms, workflows, and fan engagement strategies 1–3 years of experience in digital publishing, content operations, product coordination, or a related field Experience working with a content management system (CMS) is preferred Experience in sports media, digital media, or entertainment is considered an asset Post-secondary education in digital media, communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field is preferred Experience working with a content management system (CMS) is preferred Experience in sports media, digital media, or entertainment is considered an asset Post-secondary education in digital media, communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field is preferred Company Overview The Canadian Football League is a professional sports league in Canada.
