Position Summary: COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR Center for Maternal Health 105. WEST MILLER ST. ORLANDO FL. 32806 Full-Time - Monday - Friday - 8 - 5pm Position Summary The Community Engagement Coordinator acts as a bridge between the organization and the community, planning and executing outreach programs and events, building and sustaining relationships within the community, promoting the organization’s mission and services, and creating opportunities for engagement and participation. Education/Training Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, marketing, or a related field is required. An associate’s degree with two (2) years of community outreach experience (in addition to the requirements listed in the Experience section) may substitute for the bachelor’s degree. Licensure/Certification Valid Florida driver’s license. Experience • Three (3) years of experience in community engagement is required. • Two (2) years of leadership experience is preferred. Essential Functions • Works collaboratively with internal teams to develop and implement community engagement initiatives and recruit eligible patients. • Develops strategies to increase community involvement and engagement. • Communicates with community members to understand their needs and expectations, builds and maintains positive relationships with community members and stakeholders, and identifies opportunities for community partnerships and collaborations. • Works with marketing and communications teams to promote community events and initiatives. • Assists in the development of marketing materials and campaigns to promote community engagement. • Organizes and manages community events, workshops, and meetings. • Coordinates with volunteers, managing their tasks and schedules, and community service providers. • Monitors and reports on community issues and feedback. • Collaborates with other team members to promote the organization’s services and offerings. • Represents the organization at community events and meetings. • Maintains records of community engagement activities and prepares reports of findings. • Logs recruitment activities for process evaluation. • Conducts surveys and feedback sessions to assess the effectiveness of community engagement initiatives. • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
