Description About the Opportunity GAMA-1 Technologies is seeking a remote Cloud Computing Specialist I to support 24x7 cloud infrastructure operations in a fast-paced AWS environment. In this role, you will provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support, resolving complex issues across cloud services, managing user access and accounts, and ensuring timely Jira ticket resolution with clear documentation. You will also support AWS resources and CI/CD workflows, perform root cause analysis, and contribute to automation, process improvements, and knowledge sharing. Success in this role requires strong troubleshooting skills, clear communication, and the ability to collaborate across teams while continuously adapting to evolving cloud technologies. Requirements What You Will Do in This Role You will provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for AWS cloud infrastructure and applications, troubleshooting complex issues, managing user access, resolving Jira tickets, supporting CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating across teams to ensure reliable, secure, and continuously improving cloud operations. Responsibilities include: Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 troubleshooting support across cloud infrastructure, applications, and platform services. Manage the full user lifecycle, including account creation, access provisioning, and permission updates in alignment with security policies. Monitor, update, and resolve Jira tickets within established SLAs, ensuring accurate and detailed documentation of all work performed. Conduct root cause analysis and escalate complex issues to engineering or senior cloud teams when necessary. Support CI/CD workflows, including basic pipeline troubleshooting and deployment activities. Assist with the maintenance and operation of AWS services, including EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch, and networking components. Contribute to process improvement initiatives, knowledge base enhancements, and operational documentation. Deliver strong customer service and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Continuously learn and adapt to new cloud tools, technologies, and operational best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business units to understand requirements and translate them into IT capabilities. Participate in UAT and development activities as needed to support system delivery and quality assurance. What You Will Bring Required qualifications: BS/BA in Computer Science, a Technical Field, or other related disciplines or 4+ years of experience supporting an AWS 2+ years of experience supporting cloud compute, storage, and infrastructure as Code (IaC) tams Working knowledge of CI/CD concepts (e.g., Git repositories, pipelines, containers). Experience with Amazon Web Services, code-defined infrastructure, configuration management tools, and CI/CD Strong verbal and communication skills, working with senior leadership and across organizational teams Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in clear, layman's terms. Preferred Qualifications Federal government experience preferred. Working knowledge of Jira, including projects, workflows, issue types, permissions, and notifications. Experience with Jira or similar ticketing and workflow management systems. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for resolving complex technical issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer service focus. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving technologies and environments. Understanding of identity and access management (IAM) principles. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and frameworks. Experience with AWS Lambda and serverless architectures. Experience working in large-scale enterprise IT environments. Work authorization/security clearance requirements Ability to obtain a security clearance. Work Environment This work is normally completed in a remote environment. Physical Demands Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's and client facilities.
