BFL CANADA is one of the largest employee-owned and operated Risk Management, Insurance Brokerage, and Employee Benefits consulting services firms in North America. They are looking for a Client Service Assistant in their Private Client Services division to provide high-level customer service and support for insurance products, while also engaging in business development and workflow improvements. Responsibilities Prints correspondence as needed and maintains electronic files (EPIC) to ensure that they are organized and up to date Processes cover notes/binders, invoices, renewal and endorsement letters, memos, and other documentation as required Organizes and manages activities, ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding tasks and items Processes incoming mail and directs to the appropriate person on the Team Ensures all correspondence is accurate and flows in a timely manner In conjunction with the Client Executives, monitors and follows up on outstanding client accounts receivables, as requested Works with the Accounting Department and insurers to resolve accounting discrepancies and related issues Deliver outstanding client service by addressing needs promptly and ensuring a positive experience Obtain required underwriting information for client referrals Responds to telephone calls and written inquiries from clients and underwriters in a timely and professional manner Assists the Client Executives in preparing underwriting submissions and client proposals when required Requests and follows up with insurers and clients for outstanding information, endorsements or documentation, as applicable Provides a first review of the policy documents Processes payments Enters quotes into Applied Rating Services, and the applicable company portal(s) Performs home evaluators Performs remarkets of policies Follows BFL policies and procedures, including security and quality procedures, as currently set out and as amended from time to time Other miscellaneous duties and special projects as required Skills Level 2 license (insurance designation, CAIB or CIP preferred), or working towards Extremely detailed Must be client focused and service oriented Maintenance of licensing requirements/continuing education Excellent communication skills, listening, verbal and written Ability to work well independently, as part of a team and with others throughout the organization Positive attitude and a desire to grow Willingness to go beyond the job description Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint Benefits Generous medical and dental coverage Telemedicine Employee and family assistance program Retirement and savings programs Work life balance with our hybrid work program Wellness allowance Year-round social activities and events Company Overview BFL Canada offers customized solutions in all areas of insurance, risk management and employee benefits.
