Iron Mountain is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Systems Engineer (Senior Systems Engineer/Business Systems Consultant) to join our Global EIT Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end support and performance of critical Records and Data Management applications, ensuring high availability and reliability through Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices and advanced observability workstreams. What You'll Do (Responsibilities) In this role, you will: Lead Technical Strategy & Operations: Drive the technical strategy for underpinning infrastructure, alerting, and monitoring to optimize Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR) targets while managing the operational processes for Data Center and Cloud applications. Implement SRE & Observability: Build automation services and instrumentation for the Observability Program, defining SLIs, SLOs, and Error Budgets to improve the performance and reliability of warehouse applications. Manage Application Sustainment: Oversee the performance of multiple applications, ensuring successful execution of critical financial billing cycles and streamlining exception handlers to build log-based metrics. Collaborate & Triage: Partner with Engineering, Development, and SRE teams in a "no-blame" culture to handle technical triaging, optimization, and workflow redesign. Handle Escalations & New Requests: Manage technical escalations from Customer Care and Global Account Management, while qualifying new work orders for Account Consolidation and Single Sign-On (SSO) capabilities. What You'll Bring (Skills & Qualifications) The ideal candidate will have: Extensive Experience: Minimum of 6 years in Global Operations and Support Engineering, with a background in supporting Records Management and Data Management applications. Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services (Logging, IAM, Network), Datadog (Log and Alert management), and Gitlab code repository management. Application Management Knowledge: Experience managing Data Center applications built on Linux/Windows, Apache/Tomcat, and Java. Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyze complex situations requiring in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives and performance improvement. Education: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science & Engineering (4-year degree). Preferred Certifications: Agile SAFe certification or ITIL Framework experience is a plus.
