They are seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst I- Finance to partner with Finance and cross-functional stakeholders to develop actionable business intelligence solutions and maintain financial reports and analyses. Responsibilities Partner with Finance and cross-functional stakeholders to transform low to moderate level business requests into accurate and actionable business intelligence solutions Develop a foundational understanding of managed care, internal financial and operational data, and Colorado Access’s key performance drivers Design, develop, and maintain recurring and ad hoc financial and operational reports, dashboards, and analyses using SQL, Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and Excel Develop and maintain moderately complex SQL queries to extract and analyze financial, claims, enrollment, capitation, and utilization data Identify actionable insights through data analysis, research, and interpretation. Provides a summary of trends, observations, and actionable items on standard and ad hoc requests Ensure accuracy, integrity, and consistency of data through validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance processes Identify, document, and assist in resolving data quality issues Assist in automating reporting processes and improving data workflows Maintain documentation of reports, data sources, business logic, and analytical methodologies In coordination with department management, support designated elements of the Company’s Strategic Plan as identified focus areas for this position Skills Bachelor's degree in healthcare-related field, statistics, computer science, information systems, finance, accounting, or related field Equivalent combination of experience and/or education may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree Experience with SQL, including writing and modifying queries to retrieve and analyze data Foundational understanding of relational databases, such as SQL Server Exposure to BI and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, SSRS, Excel, Business Objects, or similar platforms) Experience with healthcare or behavioral health data is a plus Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams Ability to analyze and interpret complex data patterns and trends Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities, with attention to detail and data accuracy Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating complex business questions into clear requirements and effective data solutions Must have strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, supported by good organizational and time management Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects with tight deadlines General understanding of health benefits, medical terminology, medical procedures, and the managed care industry is a plus Familiarity with CPT, ICD and other medical coding systems is a plus A valid driver's license and proof of current auto insurance will be required for any position requiring driving Benefits Medical, dental, vision insurance that starts the first day of the month following start date.
