THE ROLE: GMA has an exciting opportunity to join as a Business Development Manager - NSW/NZ, complementing our existing team of BDMs and expanding our support to customers across the APAC market. Ideally you will have technical sales background in abrasives or protective coatings industries, or have experience in technical value selling to end customers in the oil and gas, mining, infrastructure or ship building industries. As BDM for your territory you will be responsible for new business development, customer relationship management (end user and distributor ), and technical leadership in our two key segments of Abrasive Blasting and Waterjet Cutting. In this role you will be responsible for: Proactive identification, tracking and management of key projects, new business opportunity pipelines in our CRM. Developing key customer relationships and development of account plans that leverage competitive advantage. Conduct product trials/ demonstrations with key end users to development the GMA value proposition Build and maintain strong customer service and account management, influencing key decision makers and technical support. Ensure that customers are able to optimise the performance of GMA Garnet Understand user needs specifications and quantify the value to customers. Generate market intelligence such as new markets, applications and competition. Use a CRM effectively to record the opportunity pipeline, key customer information, sales activities and communications. WHAT YOU WILL NEED: Strong technical sales background Demonstrated commercial acumen Excellent communication and negotiation skills Contract management discipline Technical qualifications, coating inspection / corrosion-related qualifications is highly advantageous Ability to work remotely and undertake regular travel within NSW, in addition to travel to New Zealand and to our Perth head quarters is essential.
