FGS Global is a leading stakeholder strategy firm seeking a full-time Associate to join their Strategic Communications' Financial Services Policy team. The role involves developing research, writing, and media skills while assisting with client communications and media outreach efforts. Responsibilities Show up to work with an eagerness and desire to learn Monitor and/or compile daily press clips for a diverse roster of financial services industry client accounts and/or sub-projects with focus on financial services policy Assist client teams in prep for meetings/pitches Basic writing and research tasks (including emails, meeting agendas, messaging documents, press materials, client documents, owned media content, etc.) Build and maintain press lists Prepare briefing documents, talking points, etc Develop pitches and engage in media outreach across print, online and broadcast media Provide administrative support to 1-2 Partners as well as client teams, including managing calendars and scheduling, preparing and submitting expense reports, booking travel, and filtering internal and external requests Grow sophisticated project-management skills Write and edit work with a superior understanding of correct grammar and punctuation Contribute to firm's new business process and efforts Skills Bachelor's degree required Strong interest in or prior experience in strategic communications, with specific familiarity/experience in financial services policy issues A quick learner with innate curiosity Consistent reliability, professionalism and maturity Outstanding writing skills, including excellent proofreading skills Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills Strong attention to detail Ability to work diligently in dynamic and fast-moving situations A collaborative spirit and eagerness to jump in at a moment's notice An ability to work well in teams Advanced verbal communication skills Solid research abilities and analytical skills An interest in business and news Well-rounded and adaptable, and comfortable working through challenges This position requires the availability to work outside of normal office hours, including nights and weekends, when business needs arise Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. and not require work authorization sponsorship now or in the future Benefits Competitive compensation package, commensurate with experience Annual profit-sharing model, aka annual performance bonus Medical, dental and vision insurance 401(k)-plan with a generous company match Generous paid time off A collaborative group of smart, passionate and highly motivated people Team-oriented work environment structured to provide opportunities for professional growth and development Company Overview FGS Global provides public relations consultancy services to serve the domestic and international clients.
