Job Description

The Associate Director of Data Quality is responsible for evaluating, managing and maintaining data quality across the organization’s Cloud and SaaS applications. This individual will ensure that ADA's data is accurate, consistent, and reliable by overseeing processes related to data acquisition, integration, and cleaning, while also improving data management systems and setting quality standards. They will proactively monitor, measure, analyze, execute, track and report on data quality issues. Their role involves supervising and implementing processes to guarantee quality of data used by divisions, all while maintaining security. This role includes establishing standards, analyzing issues, ensuring governance, engineering processes, defining requirements, managing storage, advocating for quality, and driving cultural change. The Associate Director will contribute to the development of strategies aimed at promoting effective data governance practices to ensure data consistency, trustworthiness, and prevent misuse. RESPONSIBILITIES Data Quality Assurance Define, implement, and maintain enterprise data quality standards, frameworks, and operating processes, including standards specific to Salesforce Data Cloud objects, profiles, calculated insights, and AWS Cloud datalake architecture. Proactively identify, prioritize, and remediate data quality issues related to accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, validity, and uniqueness across Salesforce CRM, Salesforce Data Cloud, AWS Cloud, and integrated source systems. Establish and operationalize data profiling and monitoring processes to detect anomalies, inconsistencies, and identity resolution issues within Salesforce Data and related data pipelines that feed an AWS Datalake. Lead and oversee data cleansing initiatives and the appropriate use of data quality, validation, and deduplication tools, including Salesforce-native and related ecosystem capabilities. Develop and execute data quality improvement roadmaps aligned to organizational priorities, Salesforce roadmap initiatives, and downstream analytics and activation needs. Provide data quality training, documentation, and enablement to data stewards, analysts, and business partners, with targeted guidance for Salesforce users and administrators. Data Management & Governance Oversee and influence data acquisition, integration, transformation, and storage processes with a focus on quality-by-design, particularly for data ingested into Salesforce Data Cloud, and an AWS S3 datalake from internal and external sources. Partner with data owners and stakeholders to define data requirements, critical data elements, and quality expectations for Salesforce CRM and Data Cloud use cases. Develop, maintain, and enforce data quality policies, procedures, and governance controls in collaboration with enterprise data governance efforts, including policies related to consent, identity resolution, and data activation. Support downstream business intelligence use cases and build data trust. Reporting & Analysis Define and track data quality metrics and key performance indicators aligned to approved standards, including metrics specific to Salesforce Data Cloud ingestion, identity resolution, and activation readiness. Analyze data quality trends and root causes across Salesforce and non-Salesforce systems to inform remediation strategies and prioritize investments. Prepare executive-ready reports, dashboards, and presentations that clearly communicate Salesforce data quality status, risks, and progress to leadership and stakeholders. Systems & Continuous Improvement Identify and recommend improvements to Salesforce configurations, data models, integrations, and related platforms to strengthen data quality at scale. Stay current on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and Salesforce roadmap developments related to data quality, data governance, and customer data platforms. Collaborate with Salesforce administrators, architects, and technology partners to ensure data quality is embedded into system design, releases, and modernization initiatives. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as computer science, information systems, data analytics, statistics, or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant functional area Demonstrated experience in data quality management, data governance, data management, or closely related disciplines, preferably in Salesforce-centric environments. Strong proficiency with data analysis tools, relational and cloud-based databases, and data quality or profiling software. Solid understanding of data models, data warehousing concepts, identity resolution, master data management, and data integration patterns. Knowledge of SQL, SOQL, or comparable data querying languages strongly preferred. Hands-on experience working with Salesforce Data Cloud, including familiarity with data ingestion, identity resolution, calculated insights, and activation use cases. Awareness of or experience with MuleSoft and Salesforce-integrated enterprise data integration platforms considered a plus. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate Salesforce and data quality concepts for technical and non-technical audiences.
