Job Description

Wheeler Trigg O'Donnell LLP is a law firm established in 1998, representing clients in high-stakes civil trials and litigation. The Assistant Paralegal will support the litigation team by managing case documents, preparing exhibits, and coordinating meetings while gaining hands-on experience in legal work. Responsibilities Maintaining case management systems in accordance with firm guidelines Analyzing case documents to prepare subset compilations and indices for attorney review Preparing exhibits and binders for depositions and trials Drafting correspondence and professional email distributions Scheduling and coordinating meetings and depositions Assisting with collection and production of documents Maintaining litigation databases and providing database search support Conducting fact gathering research and assembling background information Organizing client files and preparing working notebooks Coordinating with his/her team to meet internal and client timeline requirements Skills Excellent communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Strong work ethic, reliability, and professionalism Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work effectively both independently and as part of a team Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree is preferred Paralegal certificate is preferred but not required 1–2 years of prior litigation and/or professional office experience is a plus Benefits Health insurance 401(k) contribution Paid time off Company Overview Wheeler Trigg O'Donnell is a law firm that specializes in civil litigation and arbitrations.
