- *Job Title:** AML Auditor • *Position Summary:** The AML Auditor is responsible for independently assessing the bank’s Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) compliance programs. This role ensures that policies, procedures, and controls are effectively designed and operating to detect, prevent, and report suspicious activities in accordance with regulatory requirements. • *Key Responsibilities: • Conduct periodic audits of AML/BSA compliance programs, including customer due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), sanctions screening, and suspicious activity reporting (SAR). • Review transaction monitoring systems and evaluate the adequacy of alerts, investigations, and case management processes. • Assess the bank’s adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies related to AML, BSA, OFAC, and other financial crime prevention standards. • Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, risk ratings, and recommendations for remediation. • Collaborate with compliance, operations, and risk management teams to address identified gaps and track corrective actions. • Stay current on regulatory changes, industry trends, and emerging risks in financial crime compliance. • Provide guidance and training to staff on AML audit best practices and regulatory expectations. • *Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred). • 5-10 years of experience in AML/BSA compliance, internal audit, or financial crime investigations. • Professional certifications such as CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist), CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner), or CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) preferred. • Strong knowledge of AML/BSA regulations, OFAC requirements, and global sanctions regimes. • Excellent analytical, investigative, and report-writing skills. • High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to work independently. • *Work Environment:** • Office-based with occasional travel to branch locations or offsite meetings. • May require extended hours during audit cycles or regulatory examinations. Compensation $45/hr to $75/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
