Charleston ENT & Allergy is looking for an Allergy Benefits Coordinator who will also assist in Surgery Scheduling. This dual-role position plays a crucial part in ensuring smooth patient care and providing support to our dedicated team of physicians. Key Responsibilities As an Allergy Benefits Coordinator, you will: Educate patients on allergy testing, immunotherapy options, and insurance coverage. Communicate financial details and counsel patients on their accounts and payments. Pre-certify services, obtain authorizations, and coordinate allergy appointments. As part of the Surgery Scheduling Team, you will: Schedule surgeries, preoperative appointments, and coordinate with staff, hospitals, and patients. Verify insurance, assist patients with financial options, and ensure proper documentation. Handle physician schedules while maintaining excellent patient care standards. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED required. Experience: 2+ years in medical administration or a healthcare office preferred; surgery scheduling experience is a plus.
