In 2022, Spectra Tech was awarded ‘Small Business of the Year’ for 2021 by the U.S. Department of Energy Position Overview An experienced engineer is required to support ongoing architectural work within the Engineering Directorate. The candidate will support design projects during the construction phase, ensuring deconfliction of issues and development of design documentation. The role includes responsibility for configuration management products, discovery of existing conditions, and ensuring requirements traceability throughout the full project lifecycle, including design, construction, procurement, startup, and turnover to operations. Current projects include UCEP and ZEUS . Responsibilities Support design projects during the construction phase Ensure deconfliction of design and field issues Develop and maintain design documentation Support configuration management and documentation control Perform discovery of existing conditions Ensure requirements are traceable and transparent across: Design Construction Procurement Startup Turnover to operations Required Qualifications Engineer III: Bachelor’s degree + 10 years of experience Engineer IV: Bachelor’s degree + 15 years of experience Engineer V: Bachelor’s degree + 20 years of experience Sr. Engineer IV: Bachelor’s degree + 15 years of experience Clearance Requirements Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance U.S. Citizenship required Work Arrangement Remote with 1 trip per month to North Las Vegas facility Per diem provided for travel At Spectra Tech, Inc., our recruitment team is powered by real people in real time—personally reviewing every application with care and integrity.
