United Heritage Insurance is seeking an Investment Accountant to support investment accounting, reporting, and financial analysis across a diverse portfolio. This role offers hands-on exposure to complex investment structures and accounting processes, requiring a detail-oriented and solutions-driven individual. Responsibilities Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies within Clearwater; coordinate with client service teams to address issues across accounts Prepare journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and support the month-end close process Forecast daily bank and trust balances Assist with trade settlement and daily reconciliation processes Maintain and monitor mortgage loan portfolio activity Assist in the preparation of quarterly and yearly investment schedules Participate in investment team meetings, conduct ad hoc investment analysis Collaborate cross-functionally on process improvements and operational initiatives Prepare and file state tax returns and research state and local tax issues Assist in preparing schedules for auditors and examiners Skills Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required 1-3 years of accounting or finance experience Strong Excel and overall technical skills; ability to learn new systems quickly Solid understanding of accounting principles Strong written and verbal communication skills Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities Self-starter with strong problem-solving and analytical skills Expressive of United Heritage Core Beliefs: 'We Care, Relationships Matter, Do the Right Thing, Own It, Believe it's Possible' Experience with investment accounting Knowledge of statutory accounting Benefits 401(k) plan with company match and immediate vesting Profit sharing Company-paid disability Paid parental leave A paid volunteer day 11.5 paid holidays plus an additional floating holiday A generous PTO/vacation plan based on length of service with the company Healthcare, dental, and vision benefits on day one A new hire mentor program to support a successful onboarding experience Company Overview United Heritage Insurance is an insurance company that offers insurance sales solutions.
