Overview: What's The Role The Senior Manager – Northern Bahamas is responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational performance of BTC’s northern island clusters, including Abaco, Grand Bahama, Bimini, the Berry Islands, and surrounding cays. The role ensures the seamless execution of infrastructure projects, service delivery, and customer experience initiatives while driving the performance of island teams to meet organizational targets. This position plays a critical role in aligning regional execution with corporate goals, fostering collaboration, and ensuring operational excellence across all assigned islands. Responsibilities: What You'll Do Leadership & Oversight: Provide strategic direction and day-to-day leadership to island teams to ensure operational efficiency, service quality, and customer satisfaction. Project Execution: Manage and support the execution of projects related to facilities, network infrastructure, and fiber rollout within the northern islands. Performance Management: Set goals, monitor KPIs, and ensure accountability across all teams to achieve business and operational targets. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the Operational Manager and other regional leaders to track projects, consolidate reporting, and align timelines with procurement and logistics. Community & Stakeholder Engagement: Strengthen relationships with local councils, government representatives, and business customers to enhance BTC’s regional presence and reputation. Continuous Improvement: Identify process gaps, recommend solutions, and implement initiatives to drive efficiency, cost savings, and improved customer outcomes. Qualifications: What You'll Need Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., PMP, ITIL, or leadership training) would be an asset. Experience: Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience in telecommunications, infrastructure, or operations management, with at least 3 years in a senior management capacity . Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of network infrastructure, fiber and copper technologies, project management, and service delivery operations. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across multiple locations, drive performance, and manage through influence. Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to analyze operational data, set performance targets, and execute strategic initiatives. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to represent the company effectively to both internal and external stakeholders. Other Requirements: Willingness to travel across the northern islands. Valid driver’s license. High proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
