IHC Specialty Benefits, Inc. is expanding its Call Center Sales team and is looking for driven inside sales professionals who are passionate about helping individuals and families find the right health and supplemental insurance coverage. The role involves consultative selling and relationship-building to deliver personalized solutions, ensuring a positive customer experience while contributing to sales success. Responsibilities Handle primarily inbound calls from our marketing lead sources and affinity partners Use effective probing and discovery questions to understand each customer’s situation, assist with their coverage needs, identify gaps in existing coverage, and recommend appropriate products to fill those gaps Recommend appropriate modifications or updates to customers’ existing insurance policies when applicable Conduct outbound calls for purposes of prospecting, lead nurturing, follow-up outreach, and response to contact form inquiries Consistently meet or exceed established performance metrics, including conversion rates and ancillary product attachment Build strong, sustainable customer relationships through open, professional, and engaging communication Address light customer service needs, including basic account inquiries and policy-related questions, ensuring customers receive a seamless, best-in-class service experience Maintain required attendance standards by being punctual and consistently available during scheduled work shifts Manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively in a fast-paced sales environment Perform other job-related duties and special projects as assigned Skills 1 – 3 years of Call Center & Sales experience – Required Must be able to be appointed with our agency (if needed, obtain a release from previous upline by the start of training) Results oriented, motivated individual with a focus on achieving sales success Ability to work in fast-paced environments Excellent interpersonal, sales and time management skills Above average communication skills to represent the company professionally and communicate effectively with potential customers Ability to meet sales quotas and compliance standards by following sales call-flows and reading required disclosures Ability to navigate and effectively use various software applications (Telephony, CRM tool, Quoting and Enrollment tool) Strong Experience, Knowledge and Ability to use a PC to perform daily duties - Required Coachability – Open to receiving feedback and eager to explore new ideas or concepts Ability to work with limited supervision following procedural guidelines Comfortable with flexible work schedules, especially during the OEP period Life and Health Insurance license – active license required upon hire; to be retained throughout employment FFM Certification – Ability to obtain once hired and renewed annually as required Ability to be licensed in the states and appointed with the carriers offered Experience in Under 65 – Health, Dental, Vision and ancillary sales – Preferred Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Email, and Instant Message programs Benefits Medical Dental Vision Life Participation in the company 401(k) plan Company Overview IHC Specialty Benefits, Inc., is a licensed insurance agency that works with producers, affinity groups, membership associations, and consumers to provide the technology, knowledge, and support they need to navigate the health insurance landscape.
