Central One Federal Credit Union is dedicated to delivering exceptional service while helping members with their financial needs. The Member Support Center Relationship Specialist assists members with opening and servicing deposit accounts and consumer loans, promoting Credit Union products and services primarily over the phone and in person. Responsibilities Answer calls on the New Business line within the Member Support Center providing information and counseling to members on all COFCU savings, consumer loan, home equity and ancillary products, services, policies and procedures. Take applications over the phone or in person completing all necessary documentation Achieve stated goals as part of the MSC Lending Pay Plan by generating business through promoting and cross-selling COFCU programs to existing members and encourage new credit union membership Understand other financial services outside of Retail Service offerings. Make referrals to affiliated professionals Conduct consumer loan and ancillary product interviews and review credit investigations in an expert and professional manner Placing follow-up calls to MSC leads for consumer lending products & new accounts Determine collateral needs and define loan conditions/requirements for conforming consumer loans Review applications and documentation provided by applicants to ensure they fall within the guidelines set by the credit union and reflect true and accurate information Perform regular follow up and maintain pipeline of account/loan/equity applications assigned Occasionally provide support with maintaining other MSC LENDING team memberβs pipelines as staffing and volume demands Qualify and close conforming consumer loans within guidelines both in person and electronically Perform BSA compliance duties as required in the Credit Union BSA policy Travel to branches, including satellite offices, to represent the credit union as needed Make referrals for home equities and residential mortgage and nonconforming consumer loans to a Sr. MSC Relationship Specialist and/or Lending Specialist Stay current on job-related equipment, procedures and/or information by reading handouts/memos, attending meetings and seminars and other necessary means Adhere to all applicable Credit Union policies, procedures and regulations Maintain community involvement and participate in special projects, as needed Perform other duties as requested, or assigned Skills High School diploma 1 β 3 years' experience in a customer service or loan department of a credit union or financial institution, or related experience Analytical ability; ability to make decisions and do detailed work; ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment Skilled in the use of general office machines and computers Proven ability to sell, cross-sell and achieve goals Interact professionally face-to-face, on the telephone and through electronic means Basic PC skills in Microsoft Word/Outlook Capacity to work well with others Dependability Flexibility Initiative Resourcefulness Confidentiality Professionalism Company Overview Central One Federal Credit Union is a financial institution that offers savings, credit cards, commercial loans and business insurance.
