Title: Project Manager Location: Seattle WA(Remote) Duration: 6 Months of Contract Job Description: Project Manager - Electric Service Request Application Seeking a Project Manager who is motivated by variety, is seeking a challenging environment for professional growth, and is interested in running large information technology projects in various customer businesses areas at an Investor-Owned Utility client headquartered in Seattle, WA. The Project Manager will lead the end-to-end delivery of our Electric Service Application Platform - a modern customer-facing intake and workflow system (e.g., Accela, PowerClerk, GridUnity) supporting electric service requests and distributed energy resource (DER) interconnections. We're looking for a strong, hands-on PM who thrives in complex, multi-stakeholder environments β someone who can break down a large implementation into manageable phases, hold vendors accountable, and keep diverse internal teams aligned. Responsibilities: β’ Own the full project lifecycle: charter, plan, execution, cutover, and closeout β’ Decompose the implementation into discrete use cases and workstreams (e.g., new service requests, DER interconnection intake, workflow automation, system integrations) and manage each to completion β’ Drive scope, schedule, budget, and resource plans β keeping them current and honest β’ Lead cutover planning, data migration, and operational transition to steady state β’ Lead or support the RFP/procurement process to select a platform (e.g., Accela, PowerClerk, GridUnity) and system integrator β’ Define and finalize contracts and statements of work β’ Hold vendors accountable to deliverables, timelines, and quality standards β’ Escalate and resolve vendor issues quickly β’ Serve as SCL's primary project representative across customer operations, IT, OT, cybersecurity, and executive leadership β’ Build and execute a stakeholder engagement and communications plan β’ Surface risks and issues proactively β bring options, not just problems β’ Oversee requirements development, design reviews, and configuration decisions in partnership with business owners and the SI β’ Manage a rigorous testing program: unit, integration (SIT), and user acceptance (UAT) β’ Ensure documentation, SOPs, and training are complete before go-live β’ Enforce security and compliance standards consistent with SCL practices Required Education & Experience: β’ Bachelorβs degree in business, Information Technology, Computer Science or related degree with 5 β 7 years of experience as a Project Manager. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree β’ 7+ years of PM experience delivering complex, customer-facing technology implementations β’ Experience in the utility, energy, or infrastructure sector β understand how utilities operate, who the stakeholders are, and what "operational readiness" means in that context β’ PMP or equivalent credential (or demonstrated equivalent experience) β’ Demonstrated ability to manage multi-vendor environments and hold system integrators accountable β’ Experience managing implementations with significant system integration requirements (WAM, GIS, CRM, customer billing, or similar enterprise platforms) β’ Strong stakeholder management skills β comfortable navigating technical, operational, and executive audiences β’ Ability to break down large implementations into phased workstreams and manage each independently Strongly Preferred β’ Direct experience with electric service request, permitting, or interconnection workflows β’ Familiarity with platforms such as Accela, PowerClerk, GridUnity, or similar intake/workflow tools β’ Experience with customer-facing utility applications (self-service portals, service request systems, or similar).
