As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for handling patient billing inquiries, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring timely and accurate responses to patient inquiries. If you're passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and have a strong background in customer service, healthcare, or office experience, we encourage you to apply! **Key Responsibilities** * Handle patient billing inquiries via inbound and outbound telephone calls, email, fax, regular mail correspondence, or in-person * Serve as a liaison between patients, providers, external departments, or other responsible individuals to ensure charts are applied appropriately * Record and maintain transactions accurately, ensuring account balances and discrepancies are resolved within the prescribed period * Plan, organize, and prioritize work to convince debtors of the necessity of assuming financial responsibility * Educate debtors on available payment options and explain the financial impact of various alternatives * Provide top-quality customer service experience on every patient inquiry received to ensure and maintain high levels of patient satisfaction * Represent the company by providing appropriate levels of competency and professionalism to ensure all patient issues are resolved timely, accurately, and efficiently * Ensure each call is handled appropriately and effectively to ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction * Perform other duties as required **Essential Qualifications** * High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred * 1 year of customer service, healthcare, or office experience required; previous call center experience preferred * Experience with medical terminology in a medical billing environment * Strong computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information * Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process * Proficiency with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to the role, and keyboard * Strong interpersonal skills * Ability to perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workload * Works with minimal supervision and makes independent decisions **Preferred Qualifications** * Previous experience in a healthcare setting * Knowledge of medical billing and coding principles * Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and practice management systems (PMS) * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines **Skills and Competencies** * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work effectively in a team environment * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively * Strong attention to detail and accuracy * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information * Strong customer service skills and ability to provide exceptional patient experience **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At arenaflex, we're committed to the growth and development of our employees.
