Summary: The Director of Warehousing is accountable for the design, launch, and ongoing operation of all warehousing and material-handling activities supporting a $1B refrigerated foods platform. This role leads the end-to-end warehouse network, including the design and startup of a new flagship warehouse, while ensuring world-class execution inside SAP EWM across all North American sites. Duties and Responsibilities: New Warehouse Design & Launch: Lead greenfield or brownfield design of a new warehouse supporting refrigerated food production and finished goods distribution. Define storage strategy, slotting, dock layout, staging, and MHE strategy. Own transition from design through go-live and stabilization. Strong ability to work cross-functional with internal and external stakeholders Ensure physical design aligns with SAP EWM. Serve as business owner of SAP EWM. Define warehouse organizational structure, process, and application of technology handling units Firm understanding of batch management, FIFO/FEFO, and RF processes. Partner with IT and integrators to ensure EWM is the system of record. Deliver >99.9% inventory accuracy while achieving safety, cost and service metrics Ensure batch traceability, shelf-life compliance, and regulatory readiness Drive best-in-class cost per pallet, order fill rate, and cycle time. Develop a high performing work system with a culture of continuous improvement Drive improvements in human and food safety through total employee engagement Set standards and develops management systems for SOPs, training, KPIs, and safety. Promoting process excellence and standardization programs across company Assists in the resolution of purchased material shortages as needed. Presents to Management regarding developments in assigned areas Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or related field At least +10 years Warehousing or Supply Chain Management or directly related professional experience. 10+ years in warehouse, DC, or manufacturing logistics leadership Strong ability to work cross-functional with internal and external stakeholders Hands-on experience with SAP EWM (not just PowerPoint exposure) Proven success in the design, implementation, and commissioning of a new warehouse or distribution center Experience in food, beverage, dairy, or refrigerated CPG strongly preferred Deep knowledge and hands on warehousing experience with: SAP EWM and Batch management Inventory Age Management (FIFO) Food safety and Traceability Best practices associated with people, process and technology Is persuasive, demonstrates diplomacy and tact. Demonstrates attention to detail through accuracy and completeness of information. Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines Shows initiative (e.g., seeks additional related assignments, pursues self-development, proactively looks for alternatives and solutions and assumes additional responsibilities). Strong computer skills and database experience Effectively demonstrates public speaking skills both in prepared and impromptu speaking. Servant leadership skills with proven experience leading change across all levels of the organization Knowledge of company procurement policies, procedures and products preferred Manages multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
