Baetje Farms seeks a reliable part-time Farmers Market Worker for St. Louis-area markets (e.g., Tower Grove, Soulard) to set up, sell, and promote award-winning goat cheese. Responsibilities include transporting inventory, engaging customers, sampling products, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and welcoming booth. Part-Time Farmers Market Worker - Baetje Farms (St. Louis) Position Summary We are looking for a high-energy, friendly, and reliable team member to represent Baetje Farms at various St. Louis Farmers Markets. You will be the face of our farm, educating customers on our artisanal, award-winning goat cheese, sampling products, and managing sales in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Market Logistics: Transport inventory, set up the booth/tent, display products attractively, and tear down at the end of the shift. Sales & Service: Greet customers, offer samples, explain the unique qualities of our cheeses, and process sales using a POS system we provide. Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of Baetje Farms’ products to educate customers effectively. Inventory & Cash Management: Maintain accurate inventory counts, restock products, and handle cash/card transactions securely. Booth Maintenance: Keep the market stall clean, organized, and inviting at all times. Requirements Availability: Weekend availability (Saturday mornings are essential). Physical Stamina: Able to lift up to 30–50 lbs (coolers, products, tent equipment) and stand for 4–6 hours, sometimes in outdoor weather conditions. Skills: Exceptional customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently. Passion: An interest in agriculture, local food, and artisan cheese is preferred.
