The Associate Functional Consultant will support client projects, focusing on CRM implementations for nonprofit and higher education clients, while offering expertise in various aspects of software systems and user training. Responsibilities Assisting in the discovery for project deliverables including software configuration, custom development, and integration Support technical requirements gathering sessions to analyze client needs and business processes, define and document project scope, and confirm solution viability Assist in providing solutions and documenting client requirements to configure design decisions Proactively provide knowledge-backed recommendations and best practice advice on meeting goals through software system configuration, customization, process improvement, and/or staff training, including appropriate considerations of budget, timeframe, and client capacity Educate and train clients on system functionality, particularly for go-live stabilization, offering guidance for users to become proficient in use of new tools Design, validate, and implement critical system components in CRM platforms. Articulate complex system challenges and solutions in an easy to digest manner. Assist in defining the work required to deliver solutions in support of client needs, including level of effort. Provide oversight of project resources, jointly with project management Adapt to changing circumstances and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Skills Up to 2 years in higher education advancement or development Ability to collaborate and establish strong working relationships with various teams and lead conversations about technical concepts with audiences of varying levels of experience, including non-technical stakeholders Experience gathering business requirements from stakeholders and determining solutions to support those requirements Enthusiasm for learning and an openness to feedback Highly analytical, technically proficient, and able to learn new tools and software quickly Strong oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to document and organize tasks and decisions Effective in building consensus and communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including executives and senior level staff Flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to new situations Demonstrated commitment to fostering and maintaining an environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging Knowledge of philanthropy practices and advancement services Experience or familiarity with non-profit/higher ed CRMs (Salesforce, BBCRM, Ascend, and/or Affinaquest) Experience as a consultant or with large database or CRM implementations Experience leading user training and testing Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, some plans covered 100% by Zuri Group.
