Job Description

They are seeking a Financial Analyst to join their Real Estate Valuations & Modelling team, where the individual will support valuation engagements and contribute to client deliverables while gaining hands-on experience in delivering high-quality valuation services. Responsibilities Work extensively with Excel to perform complex financial analysis Develop proficiency with BDO’s real estate valuation workbooks, mapping, and research programs Conduct market research and collect/collate relevant sales comparables Carry out land use research, including mapping, usage, official plans, and zoning by-laws Participate in site inspections as required (some travel may be necessary) Contribute to the preparation of appraisal reports, client presentations, and proposals Liaise with market participants and clients for research and reporting purposes Support business development activities by building relationships with current and prospective clients, as well as other BDO service groups Perform additional valuation-related tasks as assigned (audit assist, market research reporting, etc) If interested, contribute to Business Valuations for tax planning, financial reporting, financial planning, and transaction advisory purposes Skills A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or another related field Willingness to work towards an AACI designation is an asset 0-2 years of work experience in appraisal, asset management, investments, consulting, etc is considered an asset An understanding and ability to read financial statements, and other pertinent documents such as leases, sales agreements, and research reports Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, especially Excel Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail Solid verbal and written communication skills Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks A valid Canadian G-level driver's license with access to a car is required Benefits Flexible benefits from day one Market leading personal time off policy Reimbursement for wellness initiatives that fit your lifestyle Company Overview BDO Canada is a consulting firm that provides auditing, outsourcing, taxation, assurance, and financial advisory services.
