Title : Database Administrator Clearance : Active TS Required, Q Clearance preferred Education : Bachelor’s degree preferred Years Experience : all levels available Location : fully remote Compensation : DOE ($50k/yr-$155k/yr.) Summary : A Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for managing, maintaining, and securing an organization’s databases so data is available, accurate, and protected Core Responsibilities Install & configure databases (e.g., Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL) Monitor performance and optimize queries for speed and efficiency Backup & recovery: Ensure data can be restored after failures Security management: Control user access and prevent unauthorized access Troubleshooting: Fix database issues, crashes, or slowdowns Upgrades & patches: Keep systems up to date Data integrity: Ensure accuracy and consistency of stored data Key Skills Strong knowledge of SQL Understanding of database design and data modeling Experience with performance tuning and indexing Familiarity with cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure Knowledge of backup tools, security practices, and disaster recovery Note This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee(s) of this position.
