Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. ERG is a research and consulting firm that provides a wide range of support to federal, state, and commercial clients. They are seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer or Scientist to oversee environmental site assessment and remediation projects, providing senior-level management and guidance on various regulatory programs. Responsibilities ā¢ Direct medium to large scale complex projects to ensure internal and external expectations are met for scope, budget, schedule and quality ā¢ Write and review technical documents, reports and engineering designs including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), cleanup alternatives analyses, remediation plans and work plans ā¢ Review Sampling and Analysis Plans (SAPs) and Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPPs) to ensure logical and efficient sampling is conducted for site characterization ā¢ Interpret engineering, geological, hydrogeological, and chemical data from contaminated sites to evaluate and design/optimize multi-media remediation systems, including developing strategy, rationale and cost estimates ā¢ Manage and train junior and mid-level staff to facilitate growth ā¢ Assist with recruitment of environmental site assessment and site remediation staff to expand project teams ā¢ Collaborate and communicate effectively with multiple clients and internal stakeholders Skills ā¢ A minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental site assessment and remediation is required ā¢ Brownfields, CERCLA, RCRA Corrective Action and/or state VRP experience ā¢ Proven project manager with ability to manage multiple projects and subcontractors on time and on budget ā¢ Knowledgeable in current and emerging remedial technologies with a preference for candidates with per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) experience ā¢ Ability to prioritize, perform, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment ā¢ 40-hour HAZWOPER Certified ā¢ Be able to carry 25 pounds, climb ladders, and work on elevated platforms Benefits ā¢ Health and dental insurance ā¢ Life insurance ā¢ Long-term disability ā¢ Educational benefits ā¢ FSAs ā¢ A generous 401k plan ā¢ Profit sharing ā¢ An EAP ā¢ 11-20 paid vacation days per year ā¢ 10 paid holidays per year ā¢ 56 hours or more of sick leave (based on the state you work in) per year (pro-rated for part-time) Company Overview ā¢ ERG is a consulting and environmental services and consulting firm.
