Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. GUSAGA is building intelligent, automation-driven tools for design professionals, aiming to modernize the design process. They are seeking a Founding Engineer to architect and develop an AI-assisted web platform that analyzes design documents and supports engineering workflows. Responsibilities • Technical Architecture: Define the core system architecture, choose the tech stack, and build out cloud infrastructure (e.g., Firebase, GCP, or AWS) for scalability and speed • AI Integration: Implement LLM and vision-based APIs to detect, classify, and redline potential design issues in engineering drawings • Full-Stack Development: Build a modern, responsive web interface and connect it to a robust, cloud-native backend that supports secure file uploads, processing, and collaboration • Data Pipelines: Develop systems for parsing, storing, and analyzing large design documents (e.g., PDFs, plans, CAD exports) with precision and performance • Product Iteration: Work hand-in-hand with the business team to turn engineering workflows into intuitive product experiences — rapidly testing and refining based on real-world feedback • Founding Impact: Set engineering culture, standards, and processes from day one, shaping how the company scales technically and culturally Skills • 3+ years of full-stack software development experience with a history of shipping production products • Strong command of cloud-native architectures (Firebase, Node.js, Python, or similar) • Proven experience integrating AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Vision/Document AI) into web applications • Comfort working with large or complex file types (PDFs, etc.) • Experience in AEC, construction tech, or document automation • Familiarity with computer vision or geometry processing • Prior experience taking a startup from 0 → 1 • Strong product ownership and bias toward execution Company Overview • A team of multi-disciplinary experience tackling a wide range of problems.
