- *Overview:** We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Pharmacist to join our Pediatric Department at the University of North Carolina Hospitals. As a Pediatric Pharmacist, you will work in a multidisciplinary environment to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to pediatric patients with complex conditions. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and critical part of patient care, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide quality, patient-centered care. **Responsibilities:** β’ Ensure timely medication access for pediatric patients, including order review and verification β’ Utilize and analyze patient data to provide optimal drug therapy recommendations β’ Perform protocol-driven clinical services such as therapeutic dose monitoring and antimicrobial stewardship activities β’ Compound and oversee the preparation and dispensing of medications, including sterile products β’ Maintain patient profiles within electronic medical record to facilitate communication β’ Comply with the medication formulary and therapeutic substitution programs β’ Facilitate discharge and transfer of patients, including medication reconciliation and discharge counseling β’ Practice medication safety, including adverse drug event and medication error reporting β’ Participate in Code Blue situations for pediatric patients β’ Precept students, residents, and participate in training new pharmacy staff as required β’ *Qualifications:** β’ Earned a BS in Pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited school/college of pharmacy β’ Must be licensed or eligible for licensure to practice pharmacy in the State of North Carolina β’ Completion of a PGY1 or PGY2 residency in pediatrics or an equivalent level of pharmacy experience is preferred β’ Possess and demonstrate excellent initiative, communication, analytical skills, organization, and collaboration β’ *Benefits:** β’ Competitive salary range: $50.99 - $73.28 per hour β’ Hybrid work schedule with a mix of on-site and remote work β’ Opportunities for professional growth and development β’ Collaborative and dynamic work environment β’ Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance β’ Retirement plan options, including TSERS and ORP β’ Reasonable accommodations for religious practices and disabilities Apply tot his job
